Weston is a small rural residential community with a population of 10,037. Nearly one-quarter of its 20.7 square miles is devoted to open space, a fact that exemplifies the town’s views on conservation. The well-funded public school system and outstanding educational staff account for academic institutions of the finest caliber. And between the Recreation Department and the Weston Commission for the Arts, residents have access to a variety of recreational programs, cultural events, and art exhibitions. Most importantly though is that Weston is a town of friends and neighbors, which can be experienced first-hand at one of its many volunteer-drive organizations.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 20.7 square miles (53.6 km_), of which, 19.8 square miles (51.3 km_) of it is land and 0.9 square miles (2.4 km_) of it (4.39%) is water.
The Saugatuck River begins to the north in Redding. It flows through the town and ends in the Long Island Sound by neighboring Westport. Weston is bordered by Westport to the south, Wilton to the west, Redding to the north, Easton to the east, and Fairfield to the southeast.
